Per protocol set (PPS). Response was defined as ≥2 point reduction in baseline NRS-3 score or overall score ≤4. Adapted from Baron et al. (2009).

    • More than 80% of responding Versatis® PHN patients experienced pain relief within the first two weeks 2

More than 80% of responding Versatis patients experience pain relief within the first two weeks

Of patients showing pain relief at week 4, 82.1% (23/28) of those using Versatis® had already responded at week 2, compared to 65% (13/20) with pregabalin2

To monitor the effectiveness of Versatis®, it is recommended to re-evaluate the treatment outcome after 2-4 weeks.1

Response defined as a reduction averaged over the last 3 days from baseline of >2 points or an absolute value <4 points on the NRS-3 scale (patients’ recalled average pain intensity over the last 3 days measured on an 11-point rating scale from 0 = no pain to 10 = worst pain imaginable.

  • SUPERIOR TOLERABILITY 1,3,+Low systemic side effects...

    • As a targeted topical treatment for PHN patients, Versatis demonstrates low systemic side effects1

"...there are benefits for a local, topical therapy, rather than using a systemic drug with a not as favourable side effect profile."

(Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at the University Hospital of South Manchester, UK)

Hear Dr De Mello's views on the use of local treatment for PHN:

"...a localised disease needs a localised treatment."
